CS 6750: Introduction to HCI

Description

This course centered around a group project with the following objectives:

  • Decide upon and evaluate some computing-related task/problem. Ideally, the topic of the project would be a problem that matters to some “real-life” people. These people then will serve as your “clients”, with whom you will communicate with and from whom you will learn.
  • Develop interface design alternatives for the task/problem
  • Implement a prototype of the final design
  • Evaluate the prototype design.
  • Discover modifications to make for a second phase of the prototype.

My group focused our efforts on those people who would benefit from the use of a personal trainer, but would not use one for various reasons. We created a mobile application to meet these users' needs called WorkoutPlus - "A Personal Trainer Without the Trainer!"
