LCC 6313: Principles of Interaction Design

Description

The labs for this course introduced HTML, CSS, SQL, PHP, Form Development, APIs, and JavaScript through small one week projects.

Some examples of work created for this course include:

  • Form that inserts and updates information in a database table and displays the table below the form
  • PHP page that shows records from two linked database tables
  • PHP page that uses an API key to query a database and show the results of the query
  • An interactive story that uses JavaScript classes and functions to run the scenarios (utilizes popup alerts)
  • Creation of a hair styling website that meaningfully combines multiple media types and sources in to a site that is more useful than its individual components.
  • Creation of a simulation that rewards replay by providing an interactive model of a complex system
